'Tis the Season for Comfort Food

As winter is approaching, temperatures are getting lower, and it is now time to put on the oversized sweatshirt and go to your local Chick-Fil-A. It will ease your cravings and leave you with a warm feeling inside...or heartburn. Maybe this is because I am weird, but my eating habits change when the weather gets colder. This definitely correlates to what I order when I go to Chick-Fil-A when winter has arrived. Today, I will give you some ideas to help make your visit to Chick-Fil-A more comforting, especially for the holidays.

1. Wear a couple layers if you are dining in. The temperature in Chick-Fil-As always seems to be colder. That is because the employees are running around and need a cooler temperature so that they don't burn up and get sweat in your food. Therefore, wear a few layers so that you are cozy and comfortable when you pick the biggest booth in the restaurant.

2. Choose a hot meal...this is no time to get your cold salad or grilled cool wrap. This is time for the fried classic nuggets that will hit the spot immediately. Anything warm will help you achieve the highest comfort level!

3. Try the Polynesian sauce!!! This may be because I am biased, but this sauce adds an X-factor to any meal. It is simply a sweet and sour sauce that goes perfectly with nuggets and fries. It is sweet to help bring out so many flavors when you are eating. This a staple for me when it gets cold outside because sweetness makes your meal feel even cozier.

4. End things with a bang! This is the time to order one of our warm cookies with milk. Our cookies are the underdogs at Chick-Fil-A. They are amazing and whenever we make them you can smell them throughout the whole restaurant. OR... order one of our peppermint milkshakes. They are our most popular item during the holiday season. It includes a shot of peppermint syrup, crushed up chocolate and candy canes with ice cream all blended together to make a mouthwatering shake! It will certainly get you in the holiday spirit.

After dining with us go have a good time with family or friends doing holiday-inspired activities, whether that be a light show, visiting a Christmas village, or watching a Christmas movie! It is important to spend time with the people you love during the holidays, and why not go to Chick-Fil-A with them!?

Also, if you're looking for another blog like mine, Chick-Fil-A has their own blog called "The Chicken Wire". It has all kinds of posts about our food, some behind the scenes features, and new information on what Chick-Fil-A is doing in the surrounding community. I love how it encompasses how great the food is at Chick-Fil-A and how Chick-Fil-A does more than just serve chicken.
